John Grisham is one of the best sellers in the current world publication. Each of his novels runs up to top 10 of the best selling chart. There is one common feature in his novels; they are all talking about lawyers' romances, adventures, fighting for surviving and drifting in suspension. Though the same occupation of the protagonists, the stories are very fascinating to attract readers keeping up with his publication.
I've read two of his books. "The Testament "is about a billionaire's (Troy Phelan) will to leave all his fortune to his illegitimate daughter, Rachel Lane. A failed lawyer, Nate O'Riley, is dispatched to find her in the rain forest in Brazil. But Rachel is so dedicated herself to God. She would not come back to the states to acquire her fortune. Nate, though found her and fell in love with her, can not bring her back to the States(normal life) to implement the will. In the end, when Nate goes back to the states, he also receives the news that Rachel died because of the jungle disease. It's adventurous and also romantic in the book.
The other book of Grisham's I have read is "Skipping Christmas". This is the only book without a lawyer in Grisham's series. It's about a middle-age couple who thinks to skip a Christmas to spend their vacation on a Caribbean cruise. They don't want to decorate their house as their neighbors which is a tradition in the neighborhood. Nevertheless, this arises a lot of skeptics and hatreds in the neighborhood. But when they are about to leave for the holidays, their daughter rings to say she will come back home for Christmas with her boyfriend from Peru. They are out of schedule now as they don't want to disappoint their only daughter. But with the helps from their neighbors, they finally have everything prepared. And the family gets together with the well blessings from their neighbors as well. This is a very amusing story. And it/s good for the Yultide season to read.
Anyway, John Grisham is a sophisticated writer to spinning suspension after suspension with easy understanding touches and magic. That/s why he is the one of the best selling authors in the world. If you like something suspension and lawyers, I recommend you to read John Grisham's.
