5.本课程的性质,地位和作用
该课程是公共基础课,教学对象为非英语专业的一,二年级本科生(音体美除外).他们已掌握基本的英语语音和语法知识,领会式掌握1,800个英语单词(其中复用式掌握的单词1,200个),并在读,写,听,说等方面受过初步的训练.0
该课程是大学生的一门必修的基础课程,是高等教育的一个有机组成部分.
该课程以英语语言知识与应用技能,学习策略和跨文化交际为主要内容,培养学生的英语综合应用能力,同时增强其自主学习能力,提高综合文化素养, 以适应我国社会发展和国际交流的需要.即:

二,教学基本要求
(一).本课程的目的,任务
大学英语的教学目标是帮助学生打下较扎实的语言基础,掌握良好的语言学习方法,增强自主学习能力,提高综合文化素养,使他们具有较强的英语综合应用能力,特别是听说能力,能用英语有效地进行口头和书面的信息交流,同时引导学生拓宽知识,了解英语国家文化背景和社会风貌.提高学生文化素养和人文精神,为他们以后的学术深造打下必要的跨文化交际能力基础,以适应社会发展和经济建设的需要.
(二).本课程的教学要求
根据《大学英语课程教学要求》,大学英语教学从对能力的要求上分为一般要求,较高要求和更高要求.对入学时英语能力未达到高中英语课程标准要求的学生,设置预备要求.
1.预备要求
1)词汇
应领会式掌握240003000 单词和4000500 个习惯用语或固定词组,其中复用式积极词汇为800-1000个,并具备基本的构词法知识.
2)听力理解能力
能听懂简单的日常会话和课堂用语,能听懂语速为每分钟100词左右的英语短文并理解其中心大意和要点.
3)口语表达能力
在实际交际中做到语音,语调较为自然,得体和流畅;熟悉个人,家庭,日常生活,兴趣爱好,风俗习惯,职业,节日,社交礼仪等方面的话题,并能就这些话题进行简单的会话或陈述.
4)阅读理解能力
能读懂难度教易的一般性题材的英语文章,科普文章和应用文体材料,掌握中心大意,抓住主要事实和有关细节,掌握意群和基本的语篇知识,并能在阅读中使用基本的阅读方法.
5)书面表达能力
掌握描述时间,地点,方位的基本表达方式;掌握比较人,物体及事物的基本表达方式;能使用适当的语言形式进行描述和表达观点,态度和情感等;能根据特定目的有效地进行简单的文字表达.
2.一般要求
1) 词汇
应领会式掌握450005000 单词和7000800 个习惯用语或固定搭配,其中复用式掌握的积极词汇为2000 单词 (包括中学所掌握的单词和词组),能在口头和书面上较熟练的运用,并具有按照基本构词法识别生词的能力.
2)听力理解能力
能听懂英语授课,能听懂日常英语谈话,一般性题材讲座和语速为每分钟1300150词的英语国家慢速英语节目,掌握其中心大意,抓住要点和有关细节,领会讲话者的观点和态度.能运用基本的听力技巧帮助理解.
3)口语表达能力
能在学习过程中较流利地进行英语交流,并就某一主题进行讨论;能就日常话题和来自讲英语国家的人士进行交流;能就所熟悉的话题经准备后作5010分钟的简短发言,表达思想比较清楚,语言,语调基本正确;能在会话中使用基本的会话策略.
4)阅读理解能力
能读懂难度中等的一般性题材的英语文章和应用文体材料,能基本读懂国内英文报刊和英语国家报刊杂志上一般性题材的文章,掌握中心大意,抓住主要事实和有关细节,能在阅读中使用有效的阅读方法;阅读速度达到每分钟70词,在快速阅读篇章较长,难度略低的材料时,阅读速度达到每分钟100词.
5)书面表达能力
能用常见的各种应用文体完成一般的写作任务,能较好地描述个人经历,事件,观感,情感等;能就一定话题或提纲在半小时内写出1200150词的短文,内容完整,用词恰当,语篇连贯,表达意思清楚,无重大语言错误,并能使用恰当的写作技能.
6)翻译能力
能借助词典对题材熟悉的文章进行英汉互译,英译汉速度为每小时300英语单词,汉译英速度为每小时250字.译文基本流畅,基本忠实原文,并能在翻译时使用适当的翻译技巧.

3.较高要求
1)词汇
领会式掌握5500单词和1200个习惯用语或固定搭配,其中复用式掌握的积极词汇为2500单词 (包括中学所掌握的单词和词组),并具有按照构词法识别生词的能力.
2)听力理解能力
能够基本听懂来自英语国家人士的谈话和讲座;能听懂语速为每分钟150词左右,题材熟悉,句子结构不太复杂,篇幅较长的国内英语广播和电视节目;能基本听懂外国专家用英语讲授的专业课程;掌握其中心大意,抓住要点和有关细节,领会讲话者的观点和态度,并能进行基本分析,推理和判断.
3)口语表达能力
能够和来自英语国家的人士进行比较流利的会话或就某一主题进行讨论,较好地掌握会话策略;能基本表达个人意见,情感,观点等和基本陈述事实,事件,理由等,表达思想清楚,语音,语调基本正确.
4)阅读理解能力
能顺利阅读语言难度中等的一般性题材的文章和基本阅读英语国家报刊杂志的一般性题材文章,阅读速度达到每分钟80词;在快速阅读篇幅较长,难度略低的材料时,阅读速度达到每分钟120词,并能就阅读材料进行略读或寻读;能够基本读懂本人专业方面的综述性文献,并能正确理解中心大意,抓住主要事实和有关细节.
5)书面表达能力
能写日常应用文;能写出本人专业论文的英语摘要;能借助参考资料写出与本专业相关的报告和论文,结构基本清晰,内容较为丰富;能描写各种图表;能就某一主题在半小时内写出1600180词以上的短文,内容完整,条理清楚,文理通顺.
6)翻译能力
能借助词典翻译一般英美报刊上题材熟悉的文章和摘译本人专业的英语文章或科普文章;能借助词典将内容熟悉的汉语文字材料和本专业论文译成英语,理解正确,译文基本通顺,达意,无重大语言错误;英译汉速度为每小时350英语单词;汉译英速度为每小时300汉字.

4.更高要求
1)词汇
领会式掌握6500单词和由这些词构成的1700个常用词组,其中复用式掌握的积极词汇为3500单词(包括中学掌握的单词和词组),并具有按照构词法识别生词的能力.
2)听力理解能力
能听懂内容较长的对话和短文等,并在其结构较为复杂,观点较为隐含时也能基本理解要点;能基本听懂英语国家的广播电视节目;能听懂与本人专业相关的讲座,并掌握其中心大意,抓住要点.
3)口语表达能力
能就一般或专业性的话题较为流利,准确地进行对话或讨论,能用简练的语言概括较长,语言稍难的文本和讲话,能在国际会议和专业交流中宣读论文并参加讨论.
4)阅读理解能力
能顺利阅读语言难度较高,内容广泛,体裁多样的文章,理解其意义,领会作者的观点和态度;能借助词典阅读英语原版书籍和英语国家报刊杂志上的各类文章;能比较顺利地阅读与本人专业相关的英语综述性文献.
5)书面表达能力
能就一般性主题比较自如地表达个人的观点,结构清晰,内容丰富,逻辑性强;能用英语撰写本专业的技术报告和论文等;能在半小时内写出200词以上的说明文或议论文,内容完整,文理通顺,表达思想清楚.
6)翻译能力
能借助词典将有一定难度的英语文章译成汉语,将反映中国国情或文化的介绍性文章译成英语,理解正确,译文内容准确达意,语言通顺,基本无误译现象;英译汉速度为每小时400单词,汉译英速度为每小时350汉字.
三,学时分配
教学安排:总学时为272学时,其中讲授为180学时,听力为58学时,其余为总结,复习,考试.综合课32学时(每周2学时),阅读16学时(每周1学时),听力16学时(每周1学时),共64学时.课堂上的时间与课下的时间分配为1:2,即学生每周课堂上4学时需要课下8学时来预习和复习.

五,考核方式和要求
考核方式:课程考试以期末考试为主,一般占60%, 期中考试一般占20%,平时成绩占20%.该课程第一,二学期为考试课程,第三,四学期为考查课程.
教学评估是大学英语课程教学的一个重要环节.全面,客观,科学,准确的评估体系对于实现课程目标至关重要.它既是教师获取教学反馈信息,改进教学管理,保证教学质量的重要依据,又是学生调整学习策略,改进学习方法,提高学习效率的有效手段.
教学评估分形成性评价和终结性评价两种.
1. 形成性评价
形成性评价是教学的重要组成部分和推动因素.形成性评价是对学生日常学习过程中的表现,所取得的成绩和存在的问题以及所反映出的情感,态度,策略等方面进行综合评价.其目的是激励学生学习,帮助学生有效调控自己的学习过程,使学生获得成就感,增强自信心,培养合作精神.形成性评价有利于学生从被动接受评价转变成为评价的主体和积极参与者.
形成性评价具体方式包括:1)课堂学习活动评价;2)学习效果自评;3)学习效果互评;4)学习档案;5)问卷调查与访谈;6)平时测验;7)教务,院系以及教师的评价.
形成性评价可采用描述性评价,等级评定或评分等评价记录方式.无论何种方式,都应注意评价的正面鼓励和激励作用.教师要根据评价结果与学生进行不同形式的交流,充分肯定学生的进步,鼓励学生自我反思,自我提高.
2. 终结性评价
终结性评价是检测学生综合语言运用能力发展程度的重要途径,也是反映教学效果,学校办学质量的重要指标之一.终结性评价必须以考查学生综合语言运用能力为目标,力争科学地,全面地考查学生在经过一段学习后所具有的语言水平.
1)测试是终结性评价的重要部分,是检查教学大纲执行情况,评估教学质量的一种有效手段,是获取教学反馈信息的主要来源和改进教学工作的重要依据.测试重点考核学生的语言基础和语言综合应用能力.包括月考或期中考试;期末考试;结业考试;全国大学英语四,六级考试等.测试须做到科学,公平和规范.
2)终结性评价的结果应结合形成式评价给定学生各级学业成绩和最终学业成绩,不得以一次考试成绩作为总体评价和最终学业成绩.

七,教学中应注意的几个问题
(一)重视打好语言基础,注意提高文化素养
大学英语教学必须把重点放在打好语言基础上.语言基础包括语言知识和语言应用能力,前者指语音,语法和词汇等方面的知识,后者指综合运用这些知识进行听,说,读,写,译等语言活动的能力.正确的语音语调,扎实的语法,一定的词汇量和熟练的词汇运用能力的提高有助于提高外语学习的效率,有利于提高语言综合应用能力.语言综合应用能力的提高也必将促进语言知识的加深和巩固.
大学英语教学还应有助于学生开阔视野,扩大知识面,加深对世界的了解,借鉴和吸收外国文化精华,提高文化素养.文化和语言有着密切的联系,一定的文化背景知识有助于促进语言综合应用能力的提高.
(二)正确处理听,说,读,写,译的关系
大学英语教学的基本要求是提高学生的英语综合应用能力,特别是英语听,说能力.随着国际交往的日益扩大,全面提高大学生的听,说能力已越来越重要,但这并不是否认读,写,译的重要性.阅读是掌握语言知识,打好语言基础,获取信息的重要渠道.因此,要认识到英语综合应用能力是各种语言技能的综合反映,这些技能是相辅相成,互相促进的.在具体的教学过程中,听,说,读,写,译的训练要做到协调发展.在培养听,说,读,写,译各项技能时,既要强调应用语言时的流利程度和得体性,又要注意掌握和应用语言知识的准确性.
(三)结合实际确定教学方法
国内外出现的各种外语教学法无一不是特定环境下的产物.我们需要学习国外的先进经验和方法,但更需要总结我国长期以来所积累的行之有效的教学经验和方法,妥善处理好借鉴与继承的关系,立足于我国的国情和教学实际,探索出具有中国特色的大学英语教学的新路子.教学法直接影响教学质量.教师应根据不同的教学对象,不同阶段的不同教学要求,采用灵活机动,切合实际的教学方法,从而使学生得到最大的收益.
